Acne. I think all of us know how it looks like.
It more often affects skin with a greater number of oil glands; these areas include
the face, the upper part of the chest, and the back. No one wants to have this
especially on the face. Do you know what does acne really mean? This might
explain you..
“Acne vulgaris (or simply acne) is a common human skin disease, characterized by areas of seborrhea (scaly red skin), comedones (blackheads and whiteheads), papules (pinheads), nodules (large papules), pimples, and possibly scarring. Aside from scarring, its main effects are psychological, such as reduced self-esteem and in very extreme cases, depression or suicide. One study has estimated the incidence of suicidal ideation in patients with acne as 7.1%.” – Wikipedia
Well, we don’t need to get this kind of skin
disease or being depression or suicide (please don’t do the last one) if we
know how to prevent it and have a healthy lifestyle. For this time I will try
to explain you some simple habits to prevent acne. They all are my favorites!
Haha :D Then, here we go..
1. Take control of
your food
Yes, this is very important.
Because what you eat will greatly affect your skin. If you love to eat junk
food, spicy food, coffee, or soda try to avoid them, especially if you are on
your way to cure acnes. Those kinds of foods could reduce the collagen in your skin.
2. Drink water
Don’t be dehydrated. Drink
water in right amount can help the kidney to discard all toxins in your body. I
always drink 2 liters of water everyday and it really has good affects on my
skin and makes it brighter.
3. Avoid stress
Do not let acne problem becomes a burden that can
make you become stressed. It is highly trigger acnes.
4. Get enough sleep
every night
Lack of sleep can lead to
stress and depression. As a result excessive
insulin production will lead to an increase in oil production in the skin. When
our skin is oily, it is prone to acne. In addition, the stress that
occurs due to lack of sleep will stimulate the adrenal glands that produce
androgens hormones which cause acne. Stress also affects the immune system,
thus slowing down the healing of acne that is already there. So, don’t staying
up late from now on and get 8 hours of sleep.
5. Never forget to wash your face
Use mineral water to wash your face, because tap
water that we use could contain harmful heavy metals. Also use special
soap for acne prone skin that has oil control function. Don’t be so often wash
your face with soap, because it can dry your skin. I recommend using soap to
wash your face 2 times a day only and use natural fruit soap.
6. Wash your towel and pillowcase
Bacteria in towel and pillowcase develop rapidly;
therefore wash your towel and pillowcase regularly. Dry the towel when it gets
wet.
7. Avoid using hair oil
Hair oil mixed with the skin can be dripped on the
face, so it will clog your pores and cause acne appears with ease.
8. Don’t squeeze your pimples
Squeezed pimple will not heal but it will spread
to other parts which are no acne. This is because bacteria will migrate out.
9. Eat vegetables and fruits that contain lots of fiber and
vitamin C
Fruits and vegetables contain lots of fiber will
help smooth bowel movement. So the detoxification process will go more
smoothly. Vitamin C plays an important role in the continuity of the blood
circulation so as to make the skin fresher. Vitamin C is also able to stimulate
the formation of skin collagen and protect it from various
damages.
10. Drink fruit juice regularly
Try to drink fruit juice at least a glass per day
and do not add sugar in it. If you want to make it sweet you can add honey.
Fruit juice is effective to clean the toxins in your body and do the detoxification process. I always drink
a glass of fruit juice every morning before or after I have my breakfast.
So,
that’s all my favorite habits to prevent acne. No need to go to beauty clinic
and spend much money if you can do this simple and healthy lifestyle. Lets do
this!
